Whether we’re launching new product campaigns, innovating in the technology space or providing leading training and development initiatives, our support functions are critical for ensuring our branch and trade network is equipped to continue to support our customers.

Where we're based

We operate out of two Business Support Centres - one in Crick, Northamptonshire, just off junction 18 of the M1 and one centrally based in Northampton. This is where you’ll find teams including IT, Finance, HR, Commercial, Supply Chain, Marketing, PR and Category Management.

IT & Digital

Consumer behaviours are changing within the DIY industries and we understand the importance of being able to offer the service our customers expect with new digital experiences. Our IT & Digital services are managed locally within our business support centre.

Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect your day will involve the development, maintenance and execution of the systems architecture roadmaps. You’ll be the brains of our current systems and support the launch of new projects as part of the 5 year roadmap. This will mean you’ll be a great communicator, managing relationships with stakeholders, providing clear communication on potentially complex solutions architecture and providing high quality support to multiple projects.

Supply Chain & Distribution

Supply Chain’s mission is to consistently produce and reliably deliver high quality products as efficiently as possible, to meet customer needs and exceed our consumer’s expectations. Innovation is at the core of how we work, whether working in one of our warehouses, in Supply Chain Analytics or as part of our dedicated H&S team.

Stock Planner

As Stock Planner you can expert your day to include reporting, analysis and recommendations to optimise stock availability. You can expect to be kept busy liaising with product supply, distribution, commercial, branch operations to support delivery of stock management related objectives and targets. You’ll be identifying, recommending and implementing actions to improve stock health in PDH’s and branches and be keeping upto date with key stakeholders to enhance business relationships /priorities as well as producing daily / weekly / monthly reports for both internal and external customers. A busy and productive day!

Fleet Administrator

This critical role, as Fleet Administrator, provides back office support to the division’s fleet of cars, trucks and plant - a huge important part of our business that supplies our customers with the goods they need to run their business.


On a day to day basis you will be ensuring our businesses are legally compliant including tax, insurance, MOT, eVC setup, FTA Vision housekeeping, preparation of service schedules, O’ Licence, PG9s as example. This means having excellent time management, analytical, record keeping, and IT skills and keeping on top of all the dates provided externally


In addition your day will include coordinating and setting up congestion charge / tolls, maintaining the asset register including lease fleet admin and managing fuel cards.

Category Assistant

You will see your product through its journey from its original source, anywhere in the world, right through to it being put onto the shelves in one of our branches. With day to day responsibilities including liaising with suppliers, creating information to go onto our product packaging and analysing the market to see what our customers want, you will gain valuable exposure to the commercial world and develop vital skills to build a successful career.

HR Business Partner

Customer Service

Whether our customers want to place an order over the phone, email in a product query or wish to talk about their account, our customer service teams are on hand to handle all of our customers needs.


Things will be varied for you as you could be providing advice on product ranges to one customer then, informing another or relevant offers and promotions that could offer value to their project, but the one thing that remains consistent is the drive to provide value added customer service.

Our Sales & Operations teams enable the company to drive profitability and achieve sustained growth. Through building a key customer base in a variety of specialised markets.

Branch and Estimating Support Coordinator

You’ll spend your day supporting the resolution of pricing issues and margin challenges across the operational and commercial teams, maintaining regular contact with branch managers and highlighting any pricing activities when needed. This is a key role supporting the day to day running of the branch teams. No two days will be the same as you become an expert in all things price and margin related.

Senior Account Manager

Your day will involve managing an agreed ledger of large platinum customers and also spend your day targeting prospective customers. You’ll be responsible for driving new profitable customer business and ensuring we achieve sales, revenue and product mix targets within those new accounts.

Finance Analyst

As a Finance Analyst you’ll spend your day preparing financial reporting, controls and processes, tax and treasury requirements. This will include the preparation of the monthly reports needed, documentation of key financial and business controls and reviews of the processes in place. You’ll also be pivotal in preparing audit deliverables for the external audit team during the year. Supporting across the whole of finance you’ll be juggling each areas demands meaning you’ll have a varied day to day role.

Commercial Business Partner

Operating in a dynamic environment the Commercial Business Partner through insightful analytics, reporting, and business partnering, will on a day to day help drive decisions to deliver strong and improving results in the business to one or more product categories. Using your commercial acumen and communication skills you’ll influence the business to make the best commercial decisions. Balancing pragmatism and business understanding will ensure you add value in helping to drive the bottom line.

Our Marketing team covers everything from brand, publications, branch materials and social media.

Working in the social media team you have the responsibility for coordination and delivery of the Social Media plan for the brands and will need to have the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels. Your content which will raise brand awareness, branch awareness, promote the range, drive customer interest and ultimately sales for the business.

On a day to day basis content is often created within relatively short deadlines to keep it relevant and timely and often you can expect last minute changes within campaigns - it certainly keeps us on our toes! However we expect you to drive and take the lead and what’s current. This will also mean managing your own social media budget.

You’ll also maintain knowledge of the social media industry, keeping up to date with changes and platforms to best promote our brands and proposition and continually review and measure the effectiveness of our channels and the content promoted. A busy day indeed!

Property General Merchanting & Facilities Management Jobs


Property Administrator

Being a Property Administrator means being a key member of the Property Construction team. You’ll be there to support the Project Managers, and on a daily basis coordinating the administration for the construction, relocation, refurbishment and closure of properties within the group. And you’ll be the main point of contact for customers and contractors alike who may have questions or concerns.

Regional Surveyor

As a Regional Surveyor you’ll look after a property transactional and estate management function, acquisitions, disposals and estates management cases, within a geographical region. Your day will be busy,managing a high number of transactional cases with varying timelines . In particular helping to dispose of leases quickly and manage the whole process is paramount.
