Jaimie began his career with P&H 6 years ago in the estimating department as an Estimator.
Approximately 18 months ago we offered Jaimie the opportunity to take on the role of Assistant Branch Manager at Hailsham and undertaking a level 3 Managing a Team apprenticeship. He started his apprenticeship whilst the branch was going through a transfer from PTS to CPS and spent 12 months developing his knowledge, becoming a great role model and using practical application of our product range.
The programme has unlocked new skills and sharpened pre-existing ones, but the biggest fundamental change has been the way I now look at performance within the branch.
During his apprenticeship Jaimie has increased the profit within the branch and helped to manage the budgets. He personally identified an unusual charge within the branch accounts which he highlighted to the finance team. This resulted in the branch not paying the rent the following month as they had paid two months in advance.
Jaimie has implemented three changes within the branch to improve the safety for his colleagues in the warehouse.
Through Jaimie visiting another branch he identified areas within his branch to improve the safety. Jaimie created a 3 point action plan to address these issues and they have successfully improved the safety of his branch and colleagues. Jaimie excelled in all areas and the CMI have graded all sections at a Pass plus which equalled to the Distinction grade.
